I read a text about someone that had a 10 percent chance of surviving lung cancer. That Pearson wanted to give up and say that there was no chance of living and that they rather would die now then later. But there family pushed him into trying to go through treatment. And he overcame all odds and survived. It is a miracle that this Pearson survived. Basically coming back from the dead.

I read an article about love and it was just saying how everybody should love everyone and to be nice and kind to everyone. And even thou people make mistakes its ok to forgive them and to show them that its ok to make mistakes and that everyone does it. All you need is love ( the Beatles )

War

I read a text about world war II about how the Germans were trying to take over all of the countries in England. But us being Americans we had to put a stop to Hitlers reign of terror. Hitler had blamed the Jews for everything. But in reality they did not do anything. And of course we won the war and Hitler shot himself so that was the end of that.

I read an article about colonization and how the British came to America and colonized it. The British were one of the most important colonizers of the Americas and their American empire came to rival the Spanish American colonies in the military. If it wasn't for them we would never be in this great country we are in now.

I read and article about children that are dieing all over the world and its just horrible. 1 child is dieing every 3 to 5 seconds and 17 to 18 children are dieing every minute. They are dieing from being abused, natural disasters, and basically anyway you can think and its just a global issue that needs to be resolved somehow.

I read an article about holidays and how many of them there are. It was just a huge list on all of the holidays and how people celebrated them. For instance I clicked on one and for there new year they would make a huge bonfire and then would all run and jump through the flames. Some of the holidays that I read about didn't even seem like they were celebrating anything it looked like they just wanted to have a party and have a good time.

I read and article about Bollywood and about all the musical movies that they create about the Indian culture and stuff. They take famous stars and gourgious women from around the world and put them in the movies witch then makes them a hit. We watched one on class and it was pretty good. The only thing that got annoying was that there was a song every 5 min.

I read a text about the Chinese culture and how they have lots of festivals. Some even lasting up to 15 days, now that would be a party. Everyone from kids to old people help decorate and set up the streets for the festival. Then they get on costumes and light up the night with lights, dances, and many more things like fireworks. The Chinese have a very cool culture.

I read an article about this man who hoped that his family would be alright during the genocide it was a very good article on how he was trying to get more people involved in the genocide to try and get people to stand up against it and to do somthing about it. And because he tried so hard and hoped for the best his family was able to make it out of there safe and make it home.

I read an article about the Jews and there religion during the holocaust. A lot of Jewish people lost their faith and gave up on god and most of all gave up on there self's. but the ones that held on and stuck with god all the way had more confidence and were able to make it through the time in the concentration camps. And now they have god to thank for there lives.

Rwanda has had one of the worst genocides in the world. In the aftermath of the genocide, 1.7 million Hutu (Rwanda government) fled across the border into neighboring Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo).the legand of genocide continued to haunt the national psyche. The UN tribunal sentenced Jean Kambanda, the former prime minister of Rwanda, to life in prison for his part in the 1994 genocide. He became the first person in the history of the world to be convicted for the crime of genocide. Rwanda continued to fight against the Democratic Republic of the Congo throughout the four-year civil war. Finaly an agreement was signed.

Rwanda

Researching on Rwanda I have found out that over a million people died in the Rwanda genocide. Corpses on the countryside were covered up with banana leaves to hide them from aerial photography. Most of the people that were killed were killed by hand with mallets and clubs. The U.S. was asked to send 50 armoured airplanes to bring people to safety. By the end of 1995 it was hard to find anyone who would admit there'd been a genocide. the government said yes some massacres, possibly, but no genocide at all. killers and survivors found themselves living next to each other sometimes. The president said that the people of Rwanda have been living together peacefully together for over 600 years and they sure can live peacefully together again.

Around 3 hundreds years ago after the Manchurian ( nowaday, the north east provinces of china) invaded and occupied china, they brought their customs and criteria of beauty to chinese people. Both feet of girls had to be wrapped tight for life time by a long cloth to stop the growth of the palms of the feet, thus when this girl grew older, she could walk like a real lady, very feminine look. I think that the whole foot binding thing is gross and that the chinese cultures were very weird.

The doctors gave her a 30% chance to survive and decided to treat her very aggressively. it took a year of treatment and finnaly she became better.
